Hi, I am Menno van Koppen (24) and I'm one of the biggest collectors of corinthians in the Netherlands. Welcome at my site, www.dutchcorinthians.freeservers.com!!! This site is fully dedicated to corinthians and collecting them. I started about one and a half year ago after an internet price question grab my fascination. Too bad I didn't win. I started with collecting only my favourite players but after a while I began collecting everything. At this moment, 06-08-2008, I have a total of 2144 figures. In my collection are also many rare figures. I am very proud to have the Select 500 figure of my idol Francesco Totti of the world's greatest club: AS Roma, and I am also very pleased to have some very rare headliners like Andersson, Morfeo, Otero, Cruz and Mancini in my collection. Which figures I have in my collection, can be found on this site. Every new arriving figure is registrated on my site within days, so you can be sure It's always up-to-date!


 
Introduction:

For those who don't know what Corinthians are. Corinthians are realistic plastic figures of famous football players. Collecting corinthians is especiallypopular in the UK and Japan. They excist in 3 sizes: the small Microstars (3 cm), the medium size Prostars (7 cm) and the large Prostars XL (25 cm). I only collect Prostars. Pre-1999 prostars are called Headliners, after 1999 they began being called Prostars. There are figures of current-day football-heroes as well as sculptures of legendary players from the glorious past of football.
Collecting in Holland:
 As stated before, collecting corinthians is especially popular in the UK and Japan. But it's a rising fenomenon in the Netherlands as many new collectors have started the past year. There is only one official reseller in the Netherlands: Remco Duijzers. That's why Dutch collectors are also loyal customers of the English Reseller sites and we're frequent eBay visitors too.

The biggest collector in the Netherlands is Lennart van de Winkel from Neerritter. He has over 2500 different figures in his collection. Another big Dutch collector is Maikel Rozijn from Ede. With his over 1400 figures his collection is about hte same size of mine, but I must admit I'm quite jealous on him having every FAPL-headliner and almost all international ones ever released.

With this site I hope to help the collecting of corinthians to raise in popularity in general and in the Netherlands in specific. As one of the few Dutch collectors I also wish to spend some extra attention on this site for the figures of Dutch clubs and players and the figures of the many world-class foreign players who ever set their first steps in top-football in the Dutch leagues.

Welkom op dutchcorinthians! Deze site is geheel gewijd aan het verzamelen van corinthians. Dit is al jaren een rage in vooral Engeland en Japan maar begint aan populairiteit te winnen in Nederland. Corinthians zijn 7 cm grote figuurtjes van bekende voetballers van nu en uit het verleden. Er zijn ook corinthians van Ajax, Feyenoord, PSV en het Nederlands Elftal en tevens zijn er vele poppetjes van Nederlandse spelers.
